Happy World Zombie Day!

World Zombie Day is Sunday, October 10, 2010.  The unofficial holiday occurs annually during the second weekend in October.  The event was started in 2008 by The It’s Alive Show, a local horror/sci-fi television program in Pittsburgh, PA.  The It’s Alive Show created World Zombie Day as both a celebration of zombie fandom and a way to raise awareness for world hunger.  This year, cities across the globe will play host to zombie walks and collect food and money for area food banks.

Check the list of participating cities to see if there are World Zombie Day celebrations occurring near you!
