Seattle Reaches New Guinness World Record for Largest Zombie Gathering

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer announced that on Saturday, July 2nd the Seattle Zombie Walk had over 4,500 zombie participants–breaking the Guinness World Record for Largest Zombie Gathering.  The current record is held by the New Jersey Zombie Walk.  (On October 30, 2010, Guinness recorded 4,093 zombies marching in Asbury Park, New Jersey.)  Once Guinness verifies the record, Seattle will become home to the zombie gathering world record for a second time.  The city previously held the record in 2009.  The Seattle Zombie Walk is hosted by Fremont Outdoor Movies and is a part of “Red, White, and Dead,” its annual zombie-themed block party during the Fourth of July weekend.
