Cinematic Trailer For ‘Dead Island Riptide’

Deep Silver has released the first trailer for Dead Island Riptide on the official Dead Island YouTube channelRiptide will be the second video game in the Dead Island action RPG series.  Few details are known about the zombie game presently.  Presumably it will have an open world environment and feature melee zombie combat.  Dead Island Riptide will arrive on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2013.  Stay tuned to the Dead Island Facebook page for updates.

‘Dead Island’ Sequel Announced

Deep Silver has announced that Dead Island Riptide, a sequel to 2011’s Dead Island, is in full development for video game consoles and PCs.  Deep Silver will reveal more information about the zombie survival game later this summer.  Stay tuned to the Dead Island Facebook page for updates.

‘Dead Island​’ DLC Out Nov 22nd

Techland has announced that the first downloadable content for their zombie survival game, Dead Island, will be out next week.  The DLC pack is titled “Bloodbath Arena” and features four new arenas in which wave after wave of zombies attack.  “Bloodbath Arena” can be played in single player or co-op mode, and experience points and items can be brought over into the main campaign.  The DLC even contains a new weapon called the brain wave bomb.  “Bloodbath Arena” will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on November 22nd, and it is free for customers who bought the Pre-order Edition of Dead Island.

‘Dead Island’ Movie Coming from Lionsgate

THR is reporting that Lionsgate Entertainment has purchased the film rights for the zombie video game, Dead Island.  In the game, players are trapped on an island resort and must battle for survival against tourists turned zombie.  The game was released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on September 6, 2011.  Lionsgate is developing the film adaptation with the Sean Daniel Company.

Osiris’s Game Review – ‘Dead Island’ (PS3)

Greetings video game zombies!  In the latest installment of Osiris’s Game Review, I check out Techland’s highly anticipated Dead Island.  Does the zombie survival game live up to all the hype?  Watch my review below!  Dead Island was released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on September 6th.  It is rated M for Mature by the ESRB.

‘Dead Island’ Release Trailer

Dead Island, the zombie survival video game by Deep Silver, is out in a week, and a new trailer has been released to celebrate its launch.  Check out the trailer below.  Dead Island is a non-linear, open world game with first-person perspective combat.  The game features online 4-player co-op, weapons customization, and upgradeable characters.  In Dead Island players are trapped on an island resort and must battle for survival against zombie hordes.  Dead Island is out in North America on September 6, 2011 and the rest of the world on September 9th.  The game will be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
