New Character Trailer for ‘All Zombies Must Die!’

Doublesix has released a new trailer for All Zombies Must Die! highlighting the different playable characters in the video game.  All Zombies Must Die! is a top-down arcade-style shooter being put together by the same team that created Burn, Zombie Burn!  In the game, players explore the open-world town of Deadhill while destroying mobs of the undead.  Up to four players can play cooperatively.  All Zombies Must Die! will be released on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, and PC later this year.

Zombie Video Game Updates

Some fresh video game tidbits to chew on…

Plants vs. Zombies–the highly praised (and super fun!), tower defense-style video game–is headed to the Nintendo DS.  According to the game’s developer, PopCap Games, the DS version is set for a January 2011 release date and will feature new and exclusive game content not found anywhere else.   The game–in which you defend your home against zombie hoards using various houseplant “weapons”–is already available for PC, Mac, and iPhone, with an Xbox Live Arcade version going on sale September 8, 2010.

Do you love fire?  Do you love mowing down ridiculous amounts of zombies?  Then rejoice!  The popular top-down shooter, Burn Zombie Burn, recently became available for PC via Steam.  The game originally launched March 26, 2009 on the PlayStation Network–where you can now download the new add-on, Burn Zombie Burn In Space.

An iPhone version of Steve Jackson Games’s Zombie Dice was released last month on Apple’s App Store.  The basic app is free, and a multiplayer upgrade costs 99 cents.  If you’re unfamiliar with the amazing game, check it out here!

I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES 1N IT!!!1 (I Made A Game With Zombies In It!) is the all-time number one selling indie game on Xbox LIVE.  The top-down, shoot ’em up has been purchased over 308,000 times, according to game developer, Ska Studios.  To celebrate, Ska Studios is releasing the game’s theme song on the Rock Band Network.

Lastly, Activision has yet to confirm whether or not its highly-anticipated first-person shooter, Call of Duty: Black Ops, will feature a “zombie mode.”  The official Black Ops facebook page announced that the all four zombie maps from Call of Duty: World at War would be included in the Prestige and Hardened editions of Black Ops, but failed to mention whether or not the wildly popular Nazi Zombie subgame from World at War would return.  Call of Duty: Black Ops will launch on PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, and PC on November 9, 2010.
